Miss Mary Jarman left Tuesday af ternoon to visit her brother in Florida during the Easter holidays. Professors Noble and Walker have gone to Jacksonville, to attend the Southern Educational Conference. Mrs. C. T. Woollen entertained Tuesday morning at bridge in honor of Miss Dora MacRae and Miss Monta- Mr. Clyde D. Douglass, of 'Raleigh, a former law student, after a short visit to Mr. Don MacRae, left for home Tuesday morning. , Dr. L. R. Wilson has just returned from a trip to Atlanta and Athens, Ga., where he went in the interest of library work. 1 he Georgia debaters, who will be here for the Georgia-Carolina debate on the 29th, will be Messrs Millard Reeves and Evans Heath. . Mrs Annie Northrup and her daugh ter, Miss Kate, after a fortnight's visit to Mrs. Charles Bain, left Saturday for their home in Raleigh. Mrs. N. C. Hughes, of Raleigh, for merly of this place, arrived on the Hill today to be the guest of Miss Mary Manning during Junior Week. ..Sec. Ed P.' Hall, W. A. Rudisill, and W. B. Clinard, were guests at the: Smith's Level Sunday school picnic on Easter Monday. Messrs Hall and Clinard were the speakers of the day. On Easter Monday afternoon, be tween four and six; Miss Nellie Barbee gave a reception in honor of Miss Dora MacRae, who .becomes the bride of Mx, George Elliott ori Wednesday next. The home was beautifully decorated,; the color scheme" being green. Re freshments were served ' at five thirty.; During the afternoon at least fifty guests called. This gathering of the society of Chapel Hill, in their spring dresses and Easter hats, made this the most noteworthy social function that has occurred here this spring.
